Mix and Mastering

At Big Wob Records' mix and mastering studio, we let your personal sound signature shine through and provide your music with the sound you dream of. Our mix is characterized by width, depth, and clarity, mixed with analog warmth. We specialize in achieving dynamics with punch and loudness, resulting in a modern sound that resonates across all platforms and media.

What is mix and mastering?

When you mix a piece of music, you take the raw files and work with levels, frequencies, dynamics, width, phase correlation, and depth to make it sound as good as possible.

When mastering, you give the track a cohesive sound, ensuring that the finished track works on all platforms and media. The focus here is mainly technical, with concepts like loudness (LUFS), pink noise balancing, and mastering compression being considered.

What mix and mastering services does Big Wob Records offer?

At Big Wob Records, we offer:

  • Mixing: We use all the raw tracks in your song. Mixing is a good choice if you don't have experience with mixing music.

  • Stem mixing: With stem mixing, we'd like your tracks divided into groups, including drums, bass, lead vox, alt vox, harmonic instruments, and EFX. Stem mixing is a good choice if your track already sounds good but needs final adjustments.

  • Stem mastering: With stem mastering, we accept the same stems as in stem mixing but work on the tracks from a mastering perspective, slightly adjusting levels and dynamics.

  • Mastering: This is for you if you've already mixed your music and it sounds optimal. We give your track a cohesive sound and optimize it for streaming services and release on all media. Our loudness typically ranges between 9 and 3 LUFS, depending on your preference.

  • Audio services for film & TV: We also offer mix and mastering for film and TV. We ensure that tracks are well-balanced, have the dynamics the producer desires, and make sure your movie sounds as good as possible.

How is mix and mastering done?

Your project is unique, so when you contact us for mix and mastering, we discuss the scope of the project, your expectations, work time, and cost.

After that, you send the files, and we begin the mix and mastering process. We encourage you to be part of the process to ensure the final product aligns with your sound and expression vision.
