At Big Wob Records, our instructor, Julian van Kranendonk, is music academy-trained and mentored by international industry giants. This enables us to offer courses in music production, songwriting, and mix and mastering at an extremely high level. We teach all ages, levels, and genres.

How do I get started with a course at Big Wob Records?

To ensure that the course specifically meets your needs, we suggest an introductory lesson where we identify your skill level and create a personalized learning plan.

You will have the opportunity to delve into areas of your interest, whether it's music production, songwriting, mix and mastering, entrepreneurship in the music industry, or music distribution.

How teaching is conducted at Big Wob Records

We believe in practical learning and prefer to work with your personal projects, allowing you to receive feedback, refine your skills, and prepare your music for release. If you are entirely new to musicproduction, we use Big Wob Records' projects in the teaching.

We also assist you in setting up your Artist profile on Spotify through Spotify For Artists, registering your music to ensure your royalties and payments, and help you find a distributor that suits your needs.

MUSIC PRODUCTION COURSE

How do you create your own music? At Big Wob Records, we offer lessons in music production and songwriting across all levels, genres, and DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations), including FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Cubase, Pro Tools, and all other music software and associated software like VSTs, audio units, and instruments.

Whether you want to learn how to produce mainstream pop for the radio, hard EDM for clubs, or mix and master your own or someone else's music, you can learn it with us.

In terms of genres, we cover it all - Electronic, Pop, Trap, House, Techno, Dance, Drill, Bass, Cinematic, and more. Each course is tailored to the student's needs, focusing on a balanced blend of theory and hands-on practical work.

MIX AND MASTERING COURSE

Big Wob Records offers tailor-made courses in mix and mastering. The course is designed for all levels and ages, incorporating best practice examples and projects from music we have delivered to Paramount, Netflix, BMG PM US, Sony Music Danmark and Warner Music Denmark.

Depending on your level and interest, we go through everything from frequency balancing to loudness and dynamics, so you can mix and master music, your own as well as others'.

MUSIC DISTRIBUTION COURSE

On our course in music distribution, we provide you with the essential tools to navigate your music career and release your music.

Here we guide you on how to register songs with a Performance Rights Organization (PRO) and obtain International Standard Recording Codes (ISRC) to release your music through an appropriate distributor.

In practical terms, this means securing royalties and payments when your music is played on the radio, Spotify, TV, and live performances.

Since Spotify dominates about 90% of the current music market, we show you how to optimize your Spotify for Artists profile. We will further teach you to interpret data and how to use tools such as Google's to enhance your interaction with your listeners and fans.
